Default Shifting n00b

Okay, this isn't really a problem, but I don't know what it is. I'm standing at a stoplight, and when I clutch and shift to first, it goes in but with minor resistance. If I keep the clutch down and drop back to n and then try again, it glides in no problem? It's a brand new stang.. is this normal (something that needs to be broken in) or is there something wrong? Thanks

Ever heard of double clutching? When you give the first short engagement you are just lining stuff up in the trans. Nothing to worry about, you will learn is little Quarks in time
