Default 69 rear end

Hi folks, I'm doing a full rotisserie restmod on my 69 convertible. My very first car project ever. I've been working on it for 5 months now and it's coming along nicely considering it was a wildlife refuge when I got it. Anyway, I took apart the rear end( stock one wheel wonder) for inspection. The axles don't quite match. One has three holes in the hub and the other has one. It leads me to believe the drive side is a replacement. The plate holding bearing in place was puckered out so I cut a horse shoe shaped plate for reinforcement. The plate presses the axle bearing flush. I've put all back together but now when I spin the axle both sides spin together in the same direction as if it were a posi differential.
Is one shaft too long and binding or is it a problem at all? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Rudy
