Im thinking about ordering some hid lights because the stock ones suck. If i do get them i am going to go with the 8000k ones. Has anyone ever gotten pulled over or ticketed for having hid lights. And are they even illegal? thanks

 

What are HID lights? Blackouts? If so,they are supposed to be used for offroad use only. I had them on all of my cars and never had a problem getting pulled over. I guess it all depends on the cops though.

 

HID's are normally illegal.. deffenintly go with the 8000's like you want anything else will be to whitish. Also with 8000's you really shouldn't have to worry about getting pulled over but you never know. If your worried about it go with 6000's.

 

Well the cops around my way arent bad at all. Will the 8000's make a huge difference becasue i live in the middle of no where and i need something bright because i cant see sh** with the stock ones.

 

Where can you get them?

 

either xenondepot or shiftergaskets. More than likley xenondepot becasue they are cheaper.

 

Get them, you'll like them. I've had them for the past two years and the police here have had no problems with them.

 

I don't think HID (high intensity discharge) headlamps are illiegal, because I sell Toyota's and the Prius (as well as a few others) come with them from the factory.

 

Just checked em out at shiftergaskets. Totally cool IMO. Some cars come from the factory with headlights similar to them with the same kind of brightness. Ive never heard of anyone getting pulled over for too bright of lights. Unless your an idiot driving with your highbeams on. You shouldn`t have a problem.

 

If you get them and your in traffic then please dont be a dong and get right up on someone's butt. It's hard to see when people with bright hid's do that.
