Default High Oil Pressure

I had an electronic oil pressure gauge installed and until the car reaches a temp of approximately 150 degrees the gauge is pegged at 100PSI. Once the car reaches temp, the gauge settles at 50PSI for cruising speed and 25PSI for idle. The thing that really concerns me is that when the car is pegged at 100PSI (below 150 degrees) and I rev it, I blow oil out of the valve cover breather. Is this normal for an engine like mine?

No that is not normal. I have an automer oil pressure gauge and the highest mine goes is 60psi. and thats only during start up. she idles at 45psi. I dont know waht could cause the problem though..

i have a high volume oil pump...so mine never drops below 40psi and i peg the gauge on start up. ask what pump they used when you had your motor built. your oil pressure sounds fine to me, high = ok; low = panic. i would add a breather or two to help release some crankcase pressure. i blew oil out of the dipstick under boost until i ran 3 lines(2 pass, 1 drivers valve cover) to an oil catch can with a breather. i was worried as hell when it first happened until i researched it and found many people who had the same problem until they added up to 4 breathers. any smoke out of the exhaust?? if you go with breathers, i would recommend the ones that are two piece, so that it screws together and preferably with baffles. good luck and let us know how it works out
