Default Removing Antenna Mast from 2017

Acquired a 2017 Ecoboost convertible this weekend. How do you remove the rear antenna mast if I want to take the car through a car wash with the rotating shammies?

Also, what is the rear antenna mast for? There is an antenna in the windshield and also a pod on the trunk lid (Sirius?).

The mast is flexible. I noticed cruising at 75 on the highway with the top down that it was leaned back. It simply unscrews from the base. About a half inch up you will feel the seam. The mast is for AM/FM reception.

The convertible doesn't have an antenna in the windshield. The coupe has one in the rear window (couple of lines at the top that look like the defroster grid. Since the top drops on the convertible, we get the mast on the trunk.

The trunk lid bug is for Sirius and compass/navigation.
