BROKEN 5 CLUTCH CABLES PLEASE HELP
Hello everyone,
so my 93 mustang has been going through clutch cables a lot. They would usually last about 6 months then the metal cable would snap. I realized that the quadrant had 1 spacer on the top stud itislides onto, but the second stub had no spacer so it could pivot back and forth. I put a bunch of washers so it would stay straight and not have any play back and forth. Also bought a new maximum Motorsports clutch cable, as everyone says it's the best, made in USA etc. Well I was working today (I deliver pizza, yes ik not the best car but it's fun) and the maximum Motorsports cable failed me. The metal cable didn't snap, but the plastic piece that goes against the firewall adjuster actually broke off and slides up and down the cable freely. Basically the plastic piece broke I half (look at the picture. It litterally separated into two pieces, but it was a solid piece before) I really don't know what to do anymore. I need this car for work and I broken 2 clutch cables in 2 weeks, the damn Napa cable lasted longer than the maximum Motorsports one. What should I do guys? Really pissed because maximum Motorsports is suppose to be the absolute best clutch cable, yet it failed in a week. Really need some reliability. My dad has a foxbody too, he's never ever had an issue (he replaced it once with a Napa one I'm sure and no issues in years ) please help!! Thanks
