Default bodywork

96 G.t First of all I work on motors. Lol. I'm not a body man at all, but giving it a shot. Why not ? I have a bad rear quarter panel drivers side. Hit and run years go. Ya know how it is. No help from neighbors, police , insurance company. Driver had no insurance, suspended license , had nothing, raging alcoholic . Sooooo your stuck with it. That's just how it is sometimes ? Anyway done with venting .I did take the car to a shop. 900 for rear quarter. 3 to 4000 for whole car painted. Do it yourself quoted 1200 for paint and clear coat. It's an E 9 tri coat. Laser red metallic pearl . So far I have used filler and have a nice shape to panel, have rust hole which I would say it's a 50/50 shot at best ? At least I think the fender might turn out ? Maybe even do whole car ??? I would like to replace rear quarter , but I don't know If I want to get into all that ? Anybody replace a quarter panel, or do any painting ?

You can cut one out of a bone-yard car, and cut the rust out of the car,
to ALL good metal, and patch it, sort-a like this:

A guy I work with is doing his Acura RSX now. He completely cut out the rust,
squared it all, and cut the patches out of panels he cut off another car from a bone
yard.
