Default TR3650, upgrade or swap?

Hi guys!

Bought my first Mustang today (2006 GT manual) and really looking forward to the build. Been looking for a V8 car to ok cost so I can spend the rest on mods.

I think I´ve figured out the engine part with internals and turbo build but need a solution for the tranny. Most TR3650 posts I find regarding upgrades are really old, did it turn out to be a bad idea? Other better options out there thse days? MT82 swap? Spend the big money and go TR6060?

Thanks!

I think it all depends on the power level you are looking to reach. I would avoid the MT-82 and look at either the T56 or TR6060 if you were dead set on replacing the transmission.

Aiming for 800whp or around that. Found old threads about 3650 G-Force gears ready for 1000hp but don´t know if anyone tried them? Yeah, looks like TR6060 are worth the cash after all.
