Rear kicks out on weird clutch release
Sometimes I release the clutch weird and hold it halfway, and i notice that sometimes the rear of the car slides out to the right. I don't hear the tires spin and it snaps back when i put the clutch back in. Clutch is brand new. Thinking it's a differential thing, or maybe the rear is crouching and the pan hard bar is pushing it more to the side since the car is lowered. Any ideas?
RWD can still get a type or torque steer where it's the rear tires that kick/pull/push (steer) instead of the front.
My auto will do it sometimes when I'm on WOT and the car shifts from 2nd to 3rd. Manuals are easier to achieve this with because you control the clutch engagement.
You might be able to reduce it a bit if you upgrade your rear control arms and/or bushings (upper and lower). Being lowered does not help because more there is less suspension travel which would normally soak up some of that power by allowing the car to squat when you hammer it. Less squat means less power is required to break the rears loose.
