Red face Cranks but No start!

I just bought a very nice 1994 Mustang Convert,. Its a V6 and seems to be in great condition. I got it very cheeeep because "it wont start". The motor cranks and it sounds like it is trying, but no start. I checked to see that I have fuel pressure, seems to be Ok, and I have spark as best as I can tell from in the car with a plug hooked up and set on the intake. I checked all the fuses under the hood and hooked a code reader up. I get no codes! What else will kep this thing from starting? I'm real "Old School" and more into carbs and ignition points.

Spray a shot of starting fluid into the air inlet while cranking. If engine fires and tries to run, you have no or inadequate fuel to the injectors. Or, the injectors are not operating (remote possibility).

How do you know it has fuel at the rail? Measured pressure?

I checked fuel pressure with a pressure guage. It shows pressure with key off, and increases with key on. I don't have a "fuel pressure guage so I rigged an old air guage. I sprayed starter fluid in, and no change. I pulled one of the spark plugs and found it was wet with gas, I am now going to change out the coil pac and wires. Maybe that will do the trick.

Red face no start

Well, I changed the coil pack and plugs and wires, still no change. I changed the fuel pump and filter to make sure it was pumping. A lot more fuel pressure, and checked for fire at the plugs with an old timing light. I have fire, I have fuel pressure, Still won't run... I'm scratching my head now, don't want to just keep throwing parts at it but don't know where to look now!! Any Ideas??

Default no start.

Just a thought here, Does a 94 3.8 Stang require a "pats" key with a chip??

I'm not sure about the v6's but I know my 94 5.0 doesn't require one

Well, I put a "noid" light on the injector plug, and, NO light flash. Obviously I'm not getting a signal to the injectors. Any advice where to check for this problem?

Ok, I put a new cam position sensor on and now I have a signal to the injectors. I did notice that the sensor drive looks as if it has been out in the past. Is there a sneaky way to check the timing of the drive without the alignment tool? I still only get turn over and no start.

I just checked the crank position sensor! I am only getting 2 volts on the blue wire, and the same on the gray. This is with the sensor plugged up. this don't seem right to me, am I doing something wrong, or is there some problem here??
