Default Ripped MT82 Clutch

Hi All,
I opened this post to get feedback on the mentioned subject, I own a 2012 manual S197 with 450 rwhp. About a year and a half ago I did a full tranny rebuild, it broke and would not disengage from first gear hence the full rebuild and replacement of every single part you can think of.
At the time the workshop that did the work on my car insisted I put Mcleod Street Pro Clutch for 700+ hp, so I did that and it was not cheap.
Since then I daily drove the car, running the **** out of it till a few weeks ago as I was doing a normal hard pull 4th to 5th I suddenly noticed my rev limiter continued into cut off (which doe not usually happen) and in a matter of seconds I heard a loud crash in the gear box and a mix between a supercharger whine and washing machine tumble sound at the same time, the car was shacking and was not moving in gear the rpm was in free revs. I stopped to asses WTF happened and the car would not move, although gear was engaging n clutch became hard AF.
Long story short the clutch ripped and I will add the pics, but my question is this normal for a clutch to rip, plus its meant to with stand high hp should it slip and not rip?

What does the flywheel surface look like? I would also contact McLeod and see what they say about it.
