I just installed a new Cobra upper and lower intake on my stock 86 mustang GT.
The engine is running real rough....won't idle without gas pedal pressed and I am gettiing white smoke from both exhaust pipes. Also I can see steam coming from the passenger side valve cover area. The steam is near the rear header pipe on the rear cylinder.
Any suggestions??
I see no leaks to include gas and water coolant.
PLEASE HELP

 

definantly sounds like you have an intake leak. Did you use new gaskets? are you sure nothing dropped into the engine when the intake was off?

 

the white smoke is a coolent leak and that will make you run like ****. If you didnt use new gaskets,get new ones and when you install them put some silicon around the water ports on the heads and it helps it seal better.
