Default Hot rod cam install disaster

Hi all,

new to the forum and I need some help. I’m a complete moron and didn’t realize that the two cams in the 3v are side specific, I put them each on the wrong side. When I started the car for the first time it ran for only a little bit and stalled, I stopped there.
A little later I pulled everything apart again and after some googling I found out that their side specific, and that I indeed put them in wrong.
The real issue is the timing chain has jumped a tooth or two and I’m mortified to think that I may have crushed valves or something else catastrophic.
Is it possible for me to just get the chain back to where I had marked it the first time or do I need to remove the timing cover to fix this? I feel like an idiot and I just need some advice before I do anything else. Thanks.

You can see how much the chain jumped.
