I have Borla's on the Vette and I am in love with the way they sound. I haven't really heard them on a Stang, but if it is anything like the Vette sound then I have to give it to Borla on this one.
how similar is it too this?

Stingers o/r H on 4.6 2v
It sounds pretty much like that down low, but that Stang got a little raspy when it revved, but it was probably the camera mic.

Everyone has their own opinion. I have had both Flowmaster and Borla, and I find that I like the borlas much better than the flowmasters. I Have paired each with a BBK o/r x pipe. The Flowmasters are a lot more raspy compared to the borlas more smooth deep tone.. The flowmasters sound decent for the money, and i do agree with "You get what you pay for." I have heard that the flowmasters will rust, but i never had a problem with them. I do have to say that I like the borlas better than the flowmasters overall. The tone and performance are hard to beat. Every where i go i turn heads! But then again it all comes down to your own opinion and the amout of $$$ you are willing to put out the *** of your car!

For a broke college student, flowmasters are more than adequate. But i truly do recognize that there are better options out there. In time i do hope to upgrade but for now im more than please with my super 44s. But what i will never do is go around to any fellow mustang owner and dis their car for the type of exhaust they have on it.

I had super 44s on my 94 I think they sounded good.
My 95 had a mac H pipe with high flow cats and no mufflers , sounded good
Now my 90 has a bbk X pipe with super 50 series flows, sounds good.

I love the sound of just about every v8 regardless of what exhaust they have. What I cant stand are the sixxers and 4 bangers with that damn giant fart can on the back .

Now that said I think borlas sound much better on the v6 mustangs than flows do , and they may sound better on a modular v8, but when it comes to an old push rod motor there is nothing like the flowmaster sound.

Before i bought my Cobra when I thought about Mustang, Flowmaster was the only sound that seemed right. I love the sound of a Ford 32v V8 with O/R H-pipe and Flowmaster cat-back.

I have the borla stingers on mine and I definitely love the sound of it! It took me months of comparing sound videos between each catbacks til I finally decided on the borlas and it was the best investment I've ever made. I've gotten compliments from nearly everyone including non Mustang fans. I'm not made of cash and definitely can't buy these with one paycheck but a little patience and saving can go a long way. If you're modding your baby you shouldn't settle for less and end up spending more than you have to by not getting what you wanted in the first place.

I have to go with The Borla's. I had the FM on my F150 with a 4.6 2v and sounded good but the Borla stingers on my 2V 01 GT sounds way better going through the gears. like others said really just an opinion other than a clear quality difference.[IMG]
