Window stuck down!!!

Window stuck down!!!
02 Mustang GT
I tried to roll up my drivers side window and it isnt goin anywhere. I removed the door panel, changed the switches around, ruled them out, checked the fuse but the passanger side still works fine so i kinda ruled that out too. When i press up it does nothing. when i press down it clicks once and that is all.
I think ive come to the conclusion that it is the motor which needs to be replaced.
It looks like this job is gonna be a pain... Are there any secrets or tricks?
Does the whole window assembly have to come completely out?
if anyone knows any sites with better detailed info as to the project could u post them?
Thanks a bunch
Russ

RE: Window stuck down!!!
Sorry I haven't had to replace the window assembly, but am about to adjust my window, and need to take the door panel off. How was that for you to do? were there plastic inserts that go everywhere when you take it off?

RE: Window stuck down!!!
I had the same problem on the pass window
on my 89 GT. All switches checked out.
Put meter to the window motor connector
and saw +12 and -12 when switch was
depressed.
I solved the problem by holding the
switch in the up position, and thumping,
banging, and hitting the motor area. The
window started and went up. With the
problem temporarilly solved I disconnecet
the motor connector and reassembled.
With cold NE PA winter comming on, I;ll insure
that the window stays closed till the spring.
I suspect there is a limiter switch in the motor that
is dirty, broken, or stuck.
