Default gas tank

Well my ex-girlfriend is a b1tch and got pissed at me cuz i liked my car better then her and after we broke up she poured sugar in my gas tank.. i have heard mixed opinions on this, a lot of people tell me that its a myth and it wont do anything to hurt my motor, but then some tell me that itll destroy it.. whatll happen if sugar is put into my gas tank? i ran it about 30 miles before i realized and now its in storage for the winter, but would it have hurt my motor in the 30 miles i drove it?

mythbusters did this once and i think the sugar didnt dissolve in the gas and it just sat at the bottom of the tank and the engine ran fine, mothballs too.

BUT im not sure so wait to see what other people say

if it hurts the engine or not you need to drain your gass tank drop it out of the car and flush it real good then change you fuel filter.

what is suposed to happen is the sugar disolves in the gas then carmelizes once it gets hot at the engind cloging up your injectors and fuel line.

good luck either way

What he said, PLUS, it chrystalizes in the cylinders. So it makes nice little grooves in the cylinder walls. FLUSH THE TANK!!!!

i put a hanger into the filler hole and i pulled it out and there was still grains of sugar in the tank, i mean its like FULL of sugar, so if i can still touch the sugar at the top of the tank does that mean that it didnt dissolve?

or that she put so much in there that it's saturated so the excess didn't dissolve. Flush the tank out, and then have the car taken to a shop that does the fuel system cleaning using pressurized fuel system cleaners. It will get all that crap out. Can you prove she did it?

My friend had someone pour sugar in his gas tank. I do not remember how much but I know that he replaced his whole fuel system. I do not know if he HAD to but I know that he did.
