Snow and Ice suck where I live during the Winter. I Need some advice on what to do to keep my back tires down. I have a lot of weight in the trunk and am considering getting some studded tires.. Is it worth It?
Also A general question. I own a 2000 mustang (automatic) , when changing from park to drive to reverse and such at night there is no light lighting up the different gears.. Is there just no light outlet in the car or do i need a new one?

 

the studed tires are defentaly worth the money

i would get a second set of rims that way when the roads are clear you can run your normal tires. i have a set of 16's with studs on them when it start to look like ice i through them in the trunk and toss them on if needed then i can pretty much go where ever i want.

cant help you on the second quetions i got a 5 speed.

 

well, i have some blizzaks on my truck, and they work great. juast throw some sandbags in the back, and drive carefully

 

I have never needed to add weight to the trunk. I have snow tires all the way around and can get through pretty much anything.

 

Thanks man. Would it hurt to keep the studs on all winter season? because i dont really have the time or money for new rims and changing. Would you recommend a set of four snow tires or just a pair of rear ones?

how is that true. What about steering and stopping? Both of those are more important than accelerating when it comes to safety...
