Default 3.8 or 3.9?

this isnt really an important question...i have a GT...and its not an 04...buuuuut...im just curious...did the 04 V6's come with a 3.9L V6 or the regular 3.8L like the other years? cuz i heard somewhere that they did and i was just wondering. thanks

about the second half of 04 the sixes came with the 3.9L

hmmm thats pretty weird. did they change any of the other specs? more hp? anything? or just an extra tenth of a liter of displacement?

They changed over to the Windstar engine. Same HP and torque...Some say they ran out od 3,8's, I say it was a marketing ploy to sell the remaining 04's so they could sell more 05's...
