Yes, I have also read about people doing it but I have never actually seen someone take a nice cobra and destroy it like that. You would be better off with a GT because you don't really have a cobra anymore at that point. You have a GT with a cobra engine. Seems like a waste of a perfectly good cobra to me.....swapping it to an auto.[:'(]

 

Because if im spending the money to have a supercharged/turbo car, its def. gotta be manual IMO

 

Funny thing is that was the joke I did on my Forum. Thats not my comp orange Cobra cause it has chrome rims and I dont. But I found the picture and posted it and was like.. "can you spot the Comp Orange Cobra in this pic..its a tuff one!" HA HA

 

You guys are really misguided and you can even go as far as to call it my opinion and you dissagree with it but I believe its truth. Let me brake this down for you guys like this....and its at the track that I am talking about. If I were racing around town(illegal and would never do that I would go with standard even with TC and gears.

2004/Cobra stock/auto=Slower

2004/Cobra stock/manual=Slower
2004/Cobra upgrades include torque converter and gears/auto=Faster

Now..I dont care what you would rather drive..thats not under discussion here. Also for the guy who was gonna post..2004 Cobras dont come with AUTOS..we know that..its a modification senerio. If you dissagree with this..I'm sorry..read some more tech articles There isnt ALOT of people that do it because its expensive and alot of people dont just track their car. But I have heard of several people that do it and know several people around here that have and are huge trackies. I know guys with auto Mach1's that wouldnt race anything else around here. My new tranny is good for 750tq/hp and was told I was good for another second with it. The stall is 2800 and I cant wait to get her back! Also just got a new Cobra tank and twin Cobra pumps put in. I was 8.2 running out of fuel with a bad tune and slipping tranny so I know I will be in the 7's and I hope for low 7's-Shane(1/8..of course, in the auto GT)
