Tires Needed
The repairs are on my new car are complete and I invested less than $300 on the engine by doing the labor myself. Woohoo! My car is now ready for new tires. The car is a V6 and don't really want performance tires. Does it matter if I get regular street tires or performance tires with a mustang? I was just going to go to Walmart and pick up 4 name brand tires. Which brand of tires should I avoid? Walmart sells Goodyear Viva Touring, Douglas Touring, Michelin Symmetry, Uniroyal Radials A/S. I am not familiar with Douglas. Are they any good?
If you guys recommend performance tires over regular street tires, Walmart has BFGoodrich Excentia GT-H and Goodyear American Eagle H2. The Michelin street tire Symmetry costs $5 more and comes with 15,000 more miles than Goodyear American Eagle H2 performance tires.
Opinions please.

If I was you I would go somewhere else, anywhere other than wal-mart that is.
Unless you special order the tires they carry are made just for wal-mart, and are over priced since you cannot say you seen the same tire somewhere else for less.
Go look at www.tirerack.com just to get an idea of what other tires cost. The first 10 choices when listed by price are under $70 a tire.

I can't imagine what's its going to be like after I lower it, put 17x9 rims, and real rubber on the beast.

I decided to deal with people who are more reputable that Walmart. I think I am better off with somebody who specializes in tires so that I can get the alignment and rotation as part of the package. Thanks guys for your responses.
