I don't think you can accurately estimate something like that....there are other issues (traction, gearing, driver)

No telling man. You could run the same car 10 times and never come up with the same time. You dont have to add any actual HP.. gears and slicks will absolutely lower your time a good chunk from stock. Just try and decide what range you want to run in and you can ask for help to get there. (like low 13's, etc)

If you were getting the same hook and all was consitent the rule of thumb is 10 HP to reduce time by 0.1 sec.

from what ive heard, when you start getting into lower times, it will take a lot more HP to take off .1 sec

I would have to concur with xkon.
The fist .10 and the second .10 are really pretty easy, when you are after the ninth one oor something it starts to get expensive.
This is not something that can really be worked on a linear scale.......

anywhere under 12 seconds 1/4 mile et i would say it's pretty reasonable to say 10 hp per tenth et reduction.

but yes as you get higher hp...like 9 second territory, it takes much more.

but for your avg. street car that is the rule of thumb.

10hp per tenth, and 100 lbs per tenth
