uh....the ss is rated faster than the Mach by mostly all magazines. The ss has been known to dip into the 12.8's factory, as have the WS6's. I know this will come has a shock to you, but being that I usually WATCH this s**t with my own eyes, I have never seen a Mach or Cobra beat a LS1 yet at the track. I know I know, the Ford drivers suck... I like Mustangs, well some of them, but as far as power goes, GM owns.

 

95lt1......I have never seen a 02 ss camaro do 12.8 with stock tires.Please dont try and talk like you know so much cause you have been to the track,cause so have i in richmond and in north carolina.Now as for gm being the hp king please they must suck at getting it to the rear whells or there engines just dont seem to pull very well.Your 02ss camaro has 325 hp and 350tq and the mach 1 only has 305hp and 320tq yet its still faster.Even if your telling the truth about a stock 02ss with stock tires runs a 12.8 and i know for a fact that the mach1 is capable of a 12.99 on stock tires.Thats a 20hp and 30tq difference and all you can gain in the 1/4 is a 0.1,thats pretty bad.</P>


I for the record i actually own a mach1 so when i say its capable of something than im not repeating what ive heard from others.Im not sure if you have or ever have owned a 02 ss camaro but i kinda doubt it.I also think you are full of it when you say 02 ss have run 12.8's,you didnt say wether or not the tires were stock or not.Even if it was not a drag tire on the car if they switch to any other grippier tire than what the car came with than its a mod.</P>


By the way if gm's cars where such power kings than why couldnt they stay around?I mean surely if they are as big and as bad as you seem to think then why didnt they sell enough to stay around.Please dont come back and say it was a sales move to pull it and then bring it back.Its been about 3 years now and there hasnt even been a concept or an official word that the camaro will be back.</P>


Oh and gm is with out a doubt not the power king when it comes to trucks!They are second and maby even third to ford.
