HELP NEW PARTS NO STARTS!!
I just installed a TF intake TF TW heads TF pushrods TF rockers, TF stage 1 camshaft and the pretty valve covers :-) Everything went smoothly being installed and didnt take very long getting the job done.
BUT
I have never pulled the distributor on a mustang before. I know i set the base timing PERFECT ( i double checked it like 2376876 times). Now the car wont start. I know it has something to do with the spark timing. Is there a way to get this started? I have had a friend try starting the motor while i slowly move the distributor, but the battery went dead before we got it started. Is there an easier way to do this or is there a trick that some of you older more experienced techs can tell me? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
in advance thank you all very much.

Did you remember to screw the spark plugs in?
Ah. Sorry, check the plugs for fouling, make sure you're getting fuel, spark, and last one... compression.
Are you sure you set up the rockers right? something about pre-load, or some crap like that. MAF hooked back up, Spout connector connected/disconnected (i dunno if that would matter) is there a rotor in your distributatorizzle machine?
Are you sure you didn't set the base timing... backwards? Or instead of on the intake stroke, the compression stroke or vice versa (i'm not sure how you're supposed to do it, i just tell people where there might be problems)
1. Spark
2. Fuel
3. Compression
Check 'em and you'll find something out. Does it not even sputter at all like it wants to start? There are some people on this forum who can actually help you more than me, they had some of the same problems. Hopefully they'll show up pretty soon.

FIND TDC, take out the number 1 spark plug, turn the motor over with some ones thumb on the hole you feel the compression then your finger will blow off, make your you go the wires on your distributor in the right firing order. then at TDC the car should turn over, ull need a light to get the timing perfect but it should crank.
