I just finished installing the factory pieces for a remote hatch release on my '84. Wire connector for the solenoid was by the lock, but no trace of it at the other end by the fwd kick panel-Turns out the trunk wire does not run all the way forward. It quits inside the quarter pnl, and a longer wire is supposed to connect to it. What a hunting trip to find it! <IMG src=smileys/smiley3.gif border="0">The later styled cars (with the newer dash and single headlights) seem to have all the wires in the harness though.
