www.supersixmotorsports.com has a kickass sheet metal intake for your car that will help loads. Its a whopping $850, it use to be about $500 but because he was in an issue of MM&FF he has severly upped all the prices on all of his products. Which manifold is cracked, upper or lower?

A port and polish on the upper and lower intake will run you $275 ($90 core) for the upper and $350 ($90 core) for the lower. You will spend $625 total (Before core) on those, a good machine shop will charge less and you wont have to waste shipping money sending the cores which weight a ton. I love Toms work but his rising prices arent too friendly to the average Six banger builder. But for total performance there is no better place to go than over at SuperSix. 600hp+ blow Sixers are something to be impressed by.

Check ebay for stock replacments, try to find one within driving distance to save on gas and if you cant find one close then get prices from local shops and weight the price differences.

Good Luck.

If its just a little crack slap some JB Weld on it and keep getting. Unless you want to spend the money to upgrade, thats what I would do.

If it is aluminum, you can get it welded on the cheap by any reputable welding shop. Been there done it. Just a 6 dollar weld and your time and new gaskets.

ARdoller you are wrong for $10 bux, I use to work at a Junk yard (Pick-N-Pull) and I scavenge them all the time. We charged $35+tax+15core+enviremental fee which brought the total cost to about $43 bux with core exchanged. A Ford dismantler here will charge anywhere from $75 to $200 dollars depending on which one you shop at.

I was looking for this intake for a while for my wifes V6 and we ended up getting a 98' F150 4.2L IMRC Splitport intake because of the runner length and amount of porting room. That was a $125 intake w/ IMRC butterflies, some wreckers will charge more for the IMRC butterflies (No sense at all.)

Good luck on your build, and if your wanting more power from your engine and dont want to spend $650+ then get a 97-99 F150 4.2L upper intake and have it ported and polished, I think you can get an 80mm BBK TB on it. If you do then get a TB with an internal IAC because the stock external sits ontop of the TB and intake another 1.5". You will need a 4" cowl to clear the new intake, a 3" to clear an internal or relocated CAI.

This intake when ported will add some seriose power, just bolting it on unmodified will boost you up from 193hp to 210. The TB also sits right over the water pump so you can use a Dual maf/intake system for a vast amount of air to enter the engine (Only should be used on modified Twin Turbo and high compression engines.)
