forced air induction.....
Which motor would be the best for a twin-turbo setup?....the early 90's 302 or the current production 281? Looking at 2 t4 turbos or a single GT35Rturbo and running about 14-18 psi. Think I have the rest of the setup figured out, just want and opinion on a motor choice if anyone has read a good article on the 2 or has some experience with it.

wow dude your gonna get a lot of opinions on this ant ther all gonna be diffent. personaly i think a 4v 4.6l with twin trubos would be sweet but they are expensive to build. a old 5.0 could be made to handle the 15 psi with much less money.
Yea....that's what I've heard. The 281 is easily capable of 700hp, but the parts to make it low compression and stay together 150% are expensive. But yea, the 302 is a cheap motor to build power, but the potential is still there the same, right? What are the actual performance gains of the modular 4-cam? I know the obvious, less moving parts b/c of overhead setup. But actually, what would you consider the "main" gains? Is it really worth probably the extra $3k I would put into the 281 opposed to the 302? I have looked at the kits from HP Performance for the 281 and appear to be VERY well thought out and very effective for the purpose!!! I know that they have some very nice single turbo 302 setups, but looking for the 2 smaller twin-turbo kits......t4 style maybe. Just looking for some input from you guys who know what I am loking to do.
