Air Silencer

Can anyone tell me what this looks like? I want to remove it from my new silverado but i'm not 100% sure what it looks like thanks much

its right out of the air filter box, you might not be able to take it out, i know i couldnt on my old jeep, the stang when i took it out i lost about 5 mpg and what felt like a little HP.

ok did it look like a screen? thats in front of the maf meter? Thanks for the info

No, it's a big piece of rubber attached to the air filter box.

its pointless taking it out tho,

Yeah just get a CAI you will get like 5hp and better gas mileage

if your air box looks like that, then the silencer would more than likely be in the fenderwell attached to that square cut out on that box. thats just my guess.
