Tests before charging...

All right so I'm going to try and buy a supercharger in the coming months for my Cobra with 6-8 lbs. of boost. I know I should run a compression test on the motor to see if the cylinders are good to go. I was wondering if there are any other tests I should run before jumping into the boost? Also My car has a little oil leak coming from the rear main, will supercharging make the leak any worse?

No need for a comp test if the car runs fine. It won't make the rear main leak worse either. I have a 92 lx w/ 150k on it runnin' 14 lbs of boost. no issues!! Good luck!!
