Default Tinted Tails

Hey guys i have't posted in a long time, and have actually since sold off all my vehicles and am now having to drive a zx3 due to a job that requires me to drive long distances, so a gas saver i had to switch to.

well, a funny thing happened, after getting somewhat involved with a forum there, and after talking with a friend of mine who is in the body shop business, i decided to do something that i dont know of anyone else doing this. what i did was found out there was a huge demand for tinted tail lights using the product i use. i initially only ordered a small amount as a trial, but i got very very nice results. i dont want to really tell what the product consists of, but it is a liquid solution in a container that allows me to actually dip the lenses into the solution. after 3 or 4 trips to the dip bath, i am able to get a finish that is not only perfectly uniform and smooth, but also very shiney, thin, and long lasting. the lenses are also sprayed with an automotive clear coat and then wet sanded and buffed. the results are amazing.

the only bad part is that because i order it on a custom order basis, it is very very expensive. however, i have done many sets for others on a few websites. i was just curious as to whether any of you would be interested in having the process performed.

now i know a lot of you are going to say that soliciting is not allowed, and i respect that. i am just trying to gauge if there is any interest on this forum or not. i am not selling lights on this thread, although on other forums, i have been allowed to give out information as to cost, turn around time, etc. through private messages. So, if interested, you may contact me through PM possibly, but i dont want to violate any rules. I love this site and there is TONS of good info.

I know that you guys all like pictures, so i've attached a few recent sets.

btw- forgot to mention. there have been no problems with light transmission. they allow light to pass through them exceptionably well, but the finish does not look dull like you would have with a product such as nightshades or look thick or transmit light poorly if you were to use a combination of black/clear coat.

the pictures are of 2 sets of focus zx3 lights. they have been in highest demand, so i attached the most recent set

It's only been half of a day. I personally don't like tinted tail/headlights.

yeah, sorry about the rush.

as for the tinted tails, they are usually either hate em or love em.

i know that there were 3 people previously interesting in the for the 99+'s, and they look really good, also have someone interested in a set for a 66, kind of a shame but.

cbrenn, there is only one way that I can let you see if there is any interest for your sevices here on MF, and that is if I disable your PM capabilities and your Email. Any and all feedback will be in this thread only.
We are a sponsored site with paying vendors and it wouldn't be fair to them if we allowed competing sevices for free, as I'm sure you can understand.
I've disabled your PM function and email. They will be reinstated after you get the information you need and after this thread is removed. Please do not post contact information in this thread, but pictures are more then welcome.

Oh, by the way. The tinted tails look pretty good. Good luck. [sm=smiley20.gif]

i understand completely, that's why i had written about not wanting to infringe at all. basically, i just want to see what everyone thinks about them, and see if there will be any interest. things are going pretty well with other groups, so i would be interested in becoming a sponsor if you guys show the same interest

Depending on how much it cost I might want to have it done to my tail lights. Those pictures look pretty damn good!

thanks. i appriciate the interest. however, i think for me to become a sponsor it is going to take more than one persons interest.

can a mod pm me, and tell me some info. on the requirements and cost of becoming a sponsor?

sorry, had to edit. my inbox is on hold. i forgot. can that info be posted here?
