thats my baby,,i got it for $7145.00 from brother in/law,,it had slight ft, end damage that i fixed,,i got the kin folk deal..<img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0">

"o" ringing is not an absolute necessity until you get into the higher compression ratio's. With companies like Cometic, and the MLS style gaskets that are now available, it is easier to use a good quality gasket. They are re-usable up to 10 times as well. They cost a bit more, but a very stable gasket.

Hey i found a 351w that has 150,000 miles on it... it also leaks oil.. (not sure from where yet)
should i get it?
hes selling for 250-300 something around that

is the mileage or oil leaking going to be a problem?

Edit: I only need the block, going to be building up from that

someone in here said you could get a brand new block for about 350..00,,post a thread on it ..??that would be better than buying a used block,,your going to get an engine kit any way right,,so you don't need the internals...

350.00 is a 302 block for summit,,??you want 351 right

call around to your local machine shops and see if they have a 351 laying around that someone didn't pay thier bill you play for the work the block is free..this is what I do...I find more sbc 400's that way then lloking online for them
