I am going to order my mounts tomrorow just wondering if i can do them myself i looked and saw there underneath my headers but jack stands a jack and some tools gonna do it or should i just pay and get them installed...

you can do it in your driveway as long as you have a jack and the necessary hand tools. just remove the nuts on the top of the mounts( under the hood by the exhaust manifolds). then lay a piece of wood on your floor jack and position under oil pan or crankshaft pulley and carefully jack the engine up. if you are jacking on the oil pan be very careful since bending the oil pan will cause an oil starvation problem and waste a good motor. i used the crank pulley so i could avoid this problem. loosen the two bolts that hold each stock mount to the k-member and remove the old mount. replace with the new mounts and use the new hardware if included. it's really easy and took me about 20 minutes after the car was jacked up on stands.

i heard toms people jack up from the very front of the tranny. Will this work too?

That is how i did it, right on the flat part of the bell housing.

you might want to take the intake off the throttle body too
