I recently put a C&L cai and a 89 tune with the SCT2. It idles at 900 rpm. I've read where others have been able to lower the idle to something more reasonable like 600-700 rpm. I don't see an option to change it though. How do u do it?

go into the tuner and select load custom tune. Under the custom tune menu, there will be a provision to change the idle speed at both neutral and drive idle. Modify the tune with these new parameters and then load the tune into the car. shouldn't take more than about 3 minutes to do the whole thing, from plug in to start the car.

Try refrencing the SCT web site or read the instructions that came with the tuner. I lowered my idle too (w/xcal 2 for Evolution for an auto) but it seems to make the throttle lag come back. It was easy to do.

[sm=smiley20.gif] Thanks F00Mustang. I went back through the program menu and ta-da there were the parameters. After reprogramming I had to take it out for a spin of course! The only instructions that came with mine was a lame one pager.
