Default Converter Q

i just got a 06 stang Gt and i was wanting to take converters off and put magnflows in place of the stock mufflers, but the muffler guy said it wouldn't run right and the check engine light will be on all the time is this true or is he full of ****?

You can get an off road H or X pipe, actually Magnaflow has them, or do what I did and go with High Flow Cats in an X-pipe and then axle back Magnaflows. It won't throw codes. I haven't heard of people throwing codes with the off road pipes (catless) but they make eliminaters that go in line at the o2 sensors to cure it.

Alright thanks for the info, also i went to the muffler shop yesderday and had two magnaflows put on i was thinking it was going to be louder then stock but, ir quiter? y is that? i didn't think they had a quiter muffler.
