Default loudmouths

yes i know this topic has been brought up many times about the loudmouths and power loss, but has anyone actually had a stock dyno run and then a run with loudmouths?

i really don't notice a difference but then again the only time i really drove the car with stock exhaust was when it was from the dealership to my house lol.

so basically, if i were to get some longtube headers and an offroad hpipe/xpipe do you think i would not gain as much power due to the loudmouths as i would with a different exhaust?

Power will be the same. Mufflers are for sound.
Your power difference will come from header design and elimination of the cats.

DO NOT do this upgrade unless you want to undo all the dental work mom and dad have paid for. Your car would be NASCAR loud. Fillings in your teeth WILL shake loose. My buddy tried an offroad H with his SLPs took them off the same day!

I have the "SLP Loud Mouths" Axle Back installed and like them very much.

I guess you might say they are loud, but thats only under heavy load. If your cruising down the highway their not loud at all.

It is true that when you start the car up first thing in the morning (6 am), that all the birds sleeping in the trees on branches all fly away, kinda reminds me of that Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds".

I only have 5500 miles on my car so far. I'm sure that after the Cats start loading up with stuff the SLP's may run a little more quiet.

In any case, I would buy the same axle backs again. If you do go with axle backs you will have to have the car retuned. (less back pressure).
