Default Clutch Pack in rear end??

Since I picked up my '06 GT back in February, I've had a real bad rumble when taking off (5-spd) and also a loud clunking sound in my rear end when shifting. I was finally able to bring it in on monday and received a call today saying "the clutch pack in your rear end is shot. Stop peeling out and take it easy."

Now first off, call me a sissy, but I've yet to peel out. I spun my tires for maybe a split second one time. Second, would spinning my tires have anything to do with that? Im a little confused. Anyone have this problem or atleast any input as to what might be going on? Thanks.

I actually just took my stang into ford today because when i was turning it was making a rubbing noise, they said it was the clutch pack, they said they had to replace it.

What happened to your gas tank? Did you have the same problem with your clutch pack?

The gauge was acting up and they said they would probably have to replace the tank. It hasn't had a fit in about a month and I only have like 4 weeks of school left before I graduate. If nothing else gets worse I will wait until school lets out. The rubbing noise has been like that for awhile. Again I just thought it was my rear tires because I turn hard to get that rush. I guess I was wrong.
