Default Serious Engine Problem pls help

Hey guys, ill get right to it.

06 GT manual

mods I have a bassani Axle back exhaust put on, a C & L intake with an 87 octane tune from evolution performance running. Mods have been on the car for 3 days now and i have loved them untill now.

Problem
I was going about 45 in 5th gear regular city driving @ night and it rained earlier in the day, 50ish degrees (telling you this for humidity reasons) anyways there was a stoplight that i was coming up to so i put it in neutral, and slowed down to a stop. at about the 10 mile per hour mark the engine started bogging and running down really low, so naturally i thought omg im an idiot and i left it in gear, but it was in neutral and the car was just running harsh. I pull into the gas station on the corner to check it out, and its really rough. Almost sounds like an old 60's muscle car with the boaty engine noise to it. Like the old two valves, the exhaust was really bubbling. This is not an exhaust problem, the engine was mildly shakeing, somewhat rough at times at idle, and the car now cannot idle on its own. After start up the car runs down to about 4-500 rpms and bogs up and down and i give it some throttle to keep it alive.

What i have done so far

arriving at my buddies house about .25 miles from the gas station I let him hear it, and first thing i thought of was to disconnect the battery and wait a few min then plug it back in. Problem still persists

I returned home (about .50 mile) and pulled out the sct and ran a code check on the car. Came up as nothing. This part was wierd to me as there is obviously a severe problem with the car.

I returned the car to the stock tune, because to me the engine sounds like its having a timing problem and i know evolution messes with the valve timing. the problem still persists.

The C&L is still on there with the stock tune cause its 11:30 at night but i figured it may be a little leaner but at idle shouldnt be to much of a problem, Anyways im goin to install the stock filter on with the stock tune and see what that does.

Checked connections on filter, MAF and the other vac tube and made sure they were secure

I did wash my car earlier that day, and even did a bad *** wax job, but i doubt i flooded the engine lol didnt even touch the engine bay, and i had been driving for about 45 min before this happened.

The best way i can describe the problem

Engine mildly shakes the car apon start up, harsh running, bogging down to 500rpms and back up to 800. Hard to start up, takes about 3-4 seconds on the igntition, timing sounds completly different, car just goes bub bub bub bub bub bub, like a boat at a slow pace

My questions

What do you guys think could be the problem? ive tried to be as discriptive as possible

How long must i run the computer stock if i take it to dealer so he doesnt immeadiatly void my warrantee for having a tune on there.

Do you think im SOL with warantee service?

Just as a side note, the Bassani X pipe and cats in my sig never went on the car, decided not to add them as im happy with the mufflers

Is the check engine light coming on? I had a problem similar to that and it was the same day I got it from the deeler. I turn around and took it to the deeler. Don't know if you know, but ech cylinder has it's own coil. Well with mine it was one of the coils was loose. Fixed in 5 min.

If you're going to have it serviced i would put the stock airbox on and the original tune just to be safe. Could you have gotten some bad gas maybe?? Hopefully it's nothing serious. Good luck!

how do i go about checking the coils on the spark plugs. I have moderate car expierence, im no expert, but i have about 3 yrs of car audio experience, and know what all the parts of the car are, are u saying just make sure the spark plugs are seated correctly? and how would i check the plug for spark?

No CEL has come on, and no error codes, I would think an error code would come up if a spark plug wasent firing

to check for spark have someone in the car to start cranking it over and individually Take the plugs out put them back in the coil hold the coil with some pliers and hold the plug close to the block to see if sparks are arking if they are go onto the next one

i accidently shot a plug out completely on the turnpike and my car had the same type of symptom except it sounded like a really bad exhaust leak but yeah try that first always look for the simplist stuff first then work your way up to the harder problems the little stuff is what gets you and why you can never find out whats wrong

I've heard it doesn't but i don't know 100%. Either way they can't deny service to you. They would have to prove that what you added caused the problem. I would take it to the dealer and have it serviced.

Do me a favor and start the car and let it run on idle for about 90 seconds and then drive it. Do not give it gas no matter how the idle fluctuates for the 90 seconds. If it doesn't do it anymore, come back and tell me and and I'll tell you why. If it does still 'sputter' after letting idle for 90 seconds after startup, then I agree I think it's a spark issue. But try to the 90 second idle thing first...

I can't wait any longer cause I'm going to bed but my car does the exact same thing. Once I saw in your post and sig that you had an evolution tune, I know that Fred plays with the VCT. Once you play with the VCT, for some reason, the car need a little longer to get all the flow going properly. Mine takes an average of 90 seconds at idle before I can drive it.

You'll specifically know it's ready cause after a bit on idle, the car will rev up by itself to about 1500 rpm for a few seconds, then settle back down. After it does this, it should drive just fine without any 'sputtering'. I'm going to bed but try it and let me know if it works for you.
