Your missing a few things that aren't included in that kit.
Fill us in please, that is interesting. I'll be looking to forge my engine when i get my s/c. I'll be running half the psi as Fred but don't want to risk bending a rod.
Head studs, main studs, flywheel, gaskets, and bearings. I'm not sure which bearings come with that kit but you'll need rod bearings and main bearings. The stock crank is 6 bolt but the forged one is 8 bolt so you will need a new flywheel. There are no head studs available for the 3V so you need to order the 12 point stud kit for the 4V from ARP. You will need to order a full set of OEM gaskets since no one makes just head gaskets for the 3V. While you in the engine you might also want to replace the valve springs. Those are just parts for the engine don't forget you will need to upgrade in other areas as well.

So its $1800 for the kit. How much for the rest of the parts? Also, what is your opinion on running 475rwhp, do you think getting this forged kit is necessary? I have heard totally different schools of thought on this.... wouldn't mind one more opinion.

For 475rwhp, I think you'll be ok for a while. As long as you have a GOOD TUNE, you should be good. I'm planning on about 850rwhp, so I need to be rebuilt. With all this work, it seems like its easier to get a block from MMR for 2,800. Labor would probably be less to.

MMR uses the 03/04 Cobra iron block and you will still need to buy some of the parts that I listed. That will add over a 100 lbs. to the front end, not to mention that you will need to modify the engine mounts and k-member. Since you will still need to tranfer the heads and cams to the new engine plus the modifications to get it to fit the install cost will not be much if any cheaper. I had been running around 460rwhp before I had the forged rotating assembly put in but like Fred said you will need to have a good tune. You will be better off buying pieces instead of the full rotating assembly since it can be done for less. Labor will depend on your engine shop and if they need to machine your block.
