Default Short Shifters

Looking for info and/or advise as to a popular or best short shift throw. Some say that B&M is the best but I have also seen good comments on the Steeda Tri-Ax. Any suggestions. Any comments are greatly appreciated.

Alot of responses have been recommending the MGW but I can't find where they have one on the market for the 05 Stang. Even though the shifter states its for a TR-3650 tranny my concern is will the stick be high enough with the **** arm to extended up and out of the console...

I have the Saleen short throw adapter. I love it and it only cost $40.00. It was really easy to install and I can notice the short throw. The shifting was a little stiff at first and reverse but now it is good. I would recommend it

the steeda triax is good for everyday driving. the only difficulty is finding 5th sometimes. i do not do any racing per se but with the handle down on the lowest position the throw is reduced by 40% and you can get through the gears much quicker. it has the stops too so you can jam the gears and not worry about bending anything. dropping the driveshaft is a PIA for the install but otherwise easy to install. lol

MGW does not have a version for the 05 / 06 yet. They are saying sometime this summer. But then again, they have been saying that since.......2005 I too, am awaiting the MGW version for the 05.

i've felt most of the shifters on the market. i give the win hands-down to the Hurst, with the pro 5.0 a runner up. waay back in third place goes to the steeda "mod", and then the tri-ax, then the b&m ripper. this is all my opinion. i lik ereally short throw and "notchy" feel. it almost feels like having a tiptronic where you just bump th estick instead of shift it!
