hate to high jack the thread...but quick question on my saleen short through adapter. I have had the adapter piece in there for about 2 months now and the shifts seem very firm and the gates into each gears seem harder to pass. Can make it shift with more ease by loosening the bolt that connevt the shifter handle to the adapter. How loose can I go or should I go?

Sorry I can't answer your question Brad. As for actual installation of a short shifter I think this link will prove helpful.

That Redline leather boot is the *****. I just ordered this UPR billet shifter bezel and cup holder in satin finish today. I was thinking of going the red/black boot route but do you think it would be a bit to much? Picture them in your set up with the Hurst shifter of course. What do you think?

I think that the change in shift boot would definately help accent your interior alot better than just the standard OEM black boot. I say GO FOR IT!!!

i love my hurst. its click-click feel is reassuring about getting into gear and is so short i can set my hand down and shift through all the gears by simply moving my fingers. after a few weeks it really breaks in, and the "stiff" feeling goes away replaced by a softer "click" feeling

my friend said the throw was shorter than her tip-tronic "bump" shift in her benz
