Try accelerating up to 2000rpms then letting off the throttle while in gear. It pops-n-backfires like crazy!! It's awsome.
Maybe "backfire" is the wrong term. I relate that to a popgun sound. (John Candy's car in "Uncle Buck")
This sounds like the exhaust tip is under water.

I think the proper term is "GURGLE"....LOL ... I could be wrong but that's what the boat guys call it. There is no better sound than twin big blocks in a 40ft boat just idleing......man...it's awesome
