It's round, so it will be located at the inlet side of the intake hose. If it's not there, then your car was built later in the 05 model year when Ford stopped installing them. No need to worry.

if I pull out the Hydrocarbon trap will i have to have the car re-dynoed and adjust the current (which was done as the car was being dynoed) Predator tune ?

or can i just un plug negative battery, remove Hydrocarbon trap, reconnect battery which will cause the car to relearn the appropriate new settings ...or will this cause me to lose all of my dynojet adjusted lean/rich Air fuel settings.

I took my out as soon as I was educated about this on the Mustang Forums. Never got an check engine light but did feel more horses. Now it doesn't matter since I have the C/L CAI anyway.
