Default C&L + Tune = ++Gas milaege

I installed a C&L CAI + 87 Tune from Brenspeed.com (wow, what a diff, even on 87.. WOW)

So anyway, more to the point.
Before the intake, on 87 pump, I would fill er up and the computer would read "420km" till empty.
the Computer itself is fairly accurate as I've witnessed, and as a few have said here on the board.

So, i installed the intake on Sunday, and only threw a 20 bux in the tank just to get me by.

Drove around the past few days with various speeds and various flooring it to hear the intake.

TOnight when i filled up the computer read "478KM" till empty.

Is it possible that the new intake + tune have netted me that much more KM till empty vs the stock, dirty air filter?...
Have you guys noticed the same things?

I have the same CAI and tune and I have been averaging 17.4 MPG on 87. I have to admit last weekend I put the 91 tune I have and I tend to get on it more and the computer is showing 15.9 on this tank. I think I have a medical condition where my right foot twitches and mashes the gas peddle to the floor several times a day[sm=happy046.gif]

I'd say so! I'm getting almost 21mpg and i'm an agressive driver at times. However i do try to change gears below 3k rpms when i'm not driving crazy. That really seems to help the gas mileage. I'm also using 93.

Sweet, so better mileage is a benefit.
I was more curious though if you computers reported more KM till empty like I had noticed.. 420 to 480 km till empty is quite a nice surprise
