Default CAI tune help

Hey guys,
I just got my MAC CAI in the car, and tried to download the new tune from my computer, well, when I tried, it said on the computer screen "download successful", then on the Diablo, it flashed, and then said "Custom Tune Mismatch. The base file does not match the vehicle." Could this be a mistake made by the person creating the tune? Or maybe I am doing something wrong. Thanks for the help.

Before you download a new tune into the TUNER you need to reflash the car back to stock. Did you do this?

I ran into that problem with mine too. Called C&L tech support and they told me you have to backup your original tune onto your hard drive. Then you have to have their performance tune backed up into the SAME directory as your original. Then you can load your performance tune back into your programmer to put it into your car. It has something to do with having the tunes in the same directory on your hard drive. They have to mingle with each other I quess lol

Wally, What do you mean, "same directory?" Both files, the orginal backup, and the new tune are both saved on my desktop, but where specifially should they be before I download the new tune? Thanks.

Whatever directory you want. The files just have to "see" each other.
