i have a 2006 mustang gt and when i drive it with the a/c on there is a clicking noise coming from up front. it sounds like the compressor coming on and off. it is very loud almost like im running over a piece of metal on the road. anyone eles. also had gas tank changed took forever to fill. now i can fill it 3/4 of a tank then it acts like it's full. will be taking it back in. thanks

I had the same thinig happening to me and it is the a/c compressor. I actually went to the ford dealership today for that noise and they said it is normal.

Mine was doing the same thing so I took it in. In many models the compressor does switch on and off but not as often as mine was. Turns out there WAS a leak in the compressor but they do not have the tool yet to change out the seal in the compressor. They did fill it up again though and ordered the tool from Ford. He also told me it is not common for the compressor on our mustangs to switch on and off. They are "continual" run compressors when the ac is on. Anyway if yours is clicking on and off every ten or twenty seconds you most likely DO have a leak. Take it in.

Mine does it too. Sounds like a hammer hitting a metal roof. It is definitely the AC compressor clutch engaging. Hopefully it will quiet down after some mileage is put on it.
