Default Tokico D-spec failure-Maybe NOT?

It appears my brand new (500mile) front driver side D-spec has blown its seal!

Waiting to hear how long until I get a replacment.

Went to my friendly dealer and put the car up on the rack. We searched stem to stern and could not find any oil residue.

The struts appear to be Okay.

Car is parked with cardboard underneath hoping to get a good read on where the oil is coming from.

That sucks!! We haven't seen any problems with them yet. To let you know, you may be waiting awhile. Tokico has the D-Specs on back order. They should be shipping hopefully in a week or 2.

I heard it takes about 2 weeks to get them in, but life time warranty. I heard someone another forum had their front d-spec snap.

If you don't see any oil residue on the Tokico strut check your brake master cylinder reservoir closely. They've been know to leak and it would drip close to the left front suspension area. Many fluids appear the same when you're looking at them on the driveway but sometimes their odor will let you know what they are. If your brake reservoir is leaking check the booster and the frame rail directly beneath it - the brake fluid can dissolve paint off of them.

+1
I was looking at that picture and it look like brake fluid. But like he said above many fluids have the sam appearance.

The weird thing about is this morning it was felt like light weight oil. I left it in on the floor and this afternoon it became very tacky. I scraped some up and took it to my Ford service guys and they were also puzzled.

Strange
