Default Feedback on Saleen supercharger

I have a 2006 Mustang Gt . I am looking to increase the HP. I am considering a Saleen Supercharger . If you have put one on your GT I would like your feedback.

Best price you found for supercharger ?
If professional install how much ?
If you dyno tested did you get + 400 hp ?
Any learnings or issues ?

Is there a better altenative to boost HP to around 400 hp ?

I am just looking to have some fun with the car on weekends nothing serious .

Do I need to tune the suspension ?

Saleen makes a great product. Kenne Bell makes another good one. Suspension tuning is a fucntion of what type of driving you want to do. It would not be a bad idea to look into the "Procharger" by ATI, the make a kit for the new motor that will put you well into the 400+ HP range with little modification.

good luck to you

To saleen and eventually FRPP/whipple look to be the two best.

From what I hear, on the saleen, larger injectors, colder plugs, and an upgraded fuel pump are neccesities.

To me, if I was going to do it, I would do that as well as match it with a C&L racer and a smaller pulley to get to the 450-475 RWHP range.

I havent heard anything good about the stock saleen tune. So the above and a custom tune may be your best bet. OR, wait till the packaged setup from FRPP comes out and see what that looks like.

Best price you found for supercharger ? $5100
If professional install how much ? with dyno tune & other parts $7000 (includes the $5100).
If you dyno tested did you get + 400 hp ? 373 w/4psi boost but I have an automatic transmission
Any learnings or issues ? Aftermarket billet throttle bodies won't fit a Saleen unless you fab up a 1" spacer.

I highly recommend HPP in Lewisville TX to do your install!

My car drives normal until you punch it and Katy bar the door!!!

Hope this helps.
