I still bet that it will be quicker with ANY street tire running the 3.55's.




maybe but I doubt it. I run faster with my 4.10's and the same set up as I did with my 3.73's. There is no way for me to tell, but I run guys with 3.55 running close to the same numbers and I beat them everytime.

IMO 4.10's are perfect for me.

Sounds like you need more weight in the rear above the axle.....

And driver is right I have 20x10 rims on my car the more rubber ==Better traction

I think it's the diameter of the tire that let's you hook. not necessarily the width.

anyone tried nitto 555Rs?

Your correct in that fact too.
Cableguy is running 275/40/20's on the rear.
Those are about 1.5 inches TALLER than the stock wheels/tires.
Therefore, running 4.10 gears with that tall of tire is probably equivalent to
running the 3.55's on the stock tires overall height.

The width surely helps too, as you get more rubber on the road.

I guess there is a reason the Shelby is running stock gears, wider wheels and "supercar" tires on there....
