You are basically manual valving the shifts instead of allowing the computer shift....Best of both worlds ... but your left leg is going to atrophy somewhat.[]

You can get full advantage of the exhaust rumble like a manual!!!!

why would you wanna shift in auto? put it on drive and drive the car..
I argree unless you have a shift kit, it will still shift the same.
they come with manual valve bodies for 1-2-3 from the factory

I got my best time at the track by manually shifting. You have to shift about 500 rpm early because the tranny holds the gear that long before letting it shift. You have to play with it but I have not found a tune that lets the car shift at the perfect time for my car. 3rd and 4th is always too early in drive to get the best time.

I'm not sure... Aren't you causing the engine and tranny to work harder every time you downshift to a stop?
I had someone ask if he should downshift to a stop years ago with a Stickl (4 speed) and my reply was that he probably shouldn't do it. Do you want to replace the brakes or the tranny!
Seems like a bit of a price to pay for cool exhaust rumble...
My other problem is having to squeeze the release to get it out of drive makes it easy to mis-shift.

Ahh don't worry about miss shifting either because it's not hard linked to the tranny like the old days either and even though you are moving the lever the computer is still in control and won't shift into 1st at 50 mph it's still drive by wire.

It's about time they did so, the older mustangs with auto's when manually shifting they still took too long to shift.
