This one time (at band camp) I came up to a really cool sounding (insert car with 200hp less than a Mustang) uh... saturn. We took off & I beat him by like 2 car lengths by 60, etc...

Lets compare apples to apples amigo!

Never ran an SL600 but did run an SL500. The guy came rolling to the light next to me and I was stopped. He punched it and I spun for a while but once I got traction I pulled on him pretty quickly. He might have been a better match for a stock GT. From what I've heard about the SL600, you're perfromance numbers might be conservative. Tell your dad the next time he lines up next to a new Mustang, listen for a slight whistling noise. It'll be more interesting but make sure he's ok with the possibility of being beat by a car that costs 26K.

Not to be a jerk but YOUR car doesn't cost $26K (at least not now) Hmm a gt mustang with with a saleen S/C with upgrade kit? IF stock GT was $26K you have at least 10K more into it........ 05SDI

They're nice cars, but, as with the new Shelby

GT + SC = Save money, go faster.

No, you're right. I was just talking base price here...not that it really makes much of a difference even if you add 10k the difference is staggering.
