After I do the traction/suspension mods, the TCI sounds awesome. But even with differnet tires am I going to have a hard time hooking up with laucnching in the 3000-3500 rpm range with the stall converter? Not with the MT street at the strip, but with say bfg or firehawk wide ovals, regular street daily summer driver tires?

My friend, when you start making a drag car, you will have a hard time on the street in ANY car...lol - but it will drive just fine on the street. For that reason too I would set the stall at 2800 to make it easier for the street since that will be the majority of your driving time.

Alternative Auto performance managed a 3000 stall on 20 in rims and SUV tires. They ran 12.90's NA. They have since put a procharger on and I believe are running in the 11's. Do a search for this company and they have a whole write up on the car along with what works and what doesn't.

Alternative Auto Performance also runs a vortech non-intercooled with an alcohol injection system that puts out 470hp. They are actually very close to me in Detroit area. I just talked to them about there alky system. It runs $1200 installed. They get $650 for tunes, does that sound right? What about there system? You guys think its safer than snow or mr freeze? It is pure alcohol system that they say is perfectly safe? http://www.alternativeauto.com/prods...h-alcohol.html

They have been running this system and flat out trashing this automatic and it still is running the stock mechanicals. They did grenade an SN95 Mach engine but that was with insane amounts of boost. I think they are conservative and because of that anybody can replicate their build and consider it safe. They have been over the edge and know where the edge is. I think if they say it's safe it probably is.
